Nathan Bellemare Smallhorn
Winning this award reminded me of how I felt on my first day in the Community Recreation and Leadership Training program. After three years of misfortunes and academic struggles at school, I discovered a hunger and motivation for academic success that I did not know I had. That thrilling feeling of chasing my goals is what I felt on my first day, and it is the same feeling I feel on the eve of my graduation. This award tells me that I am succeeding in chasing those goals, and I feel very proud and honoured to be a recipient.
