This award is a form of recognition of my leadership style. I’m not very vocal in the dressing room, but when the team, and I, faced adversity, I strived to contribute to team spirit by staying focused, giving 110% in the gym and on the ice, and having a positive attitude. Being disciplined, having good work ethics and a positive attitude does pay off in so many ways and this award proves it! The Rob Springer Memorial Award is a representation of who I became with the experience I had as Division 1 athlete. This experience shaped me in so many ways, and it’s going to follow me for the rest of my life, just like the award itself.
